'Anamor' is a Polish band who released their 2nd album 'Za Witrażem' but the peculiarity is that their first album dates from 2003, 15 years ago, during which time they shared the scene with 'Abraxas' and 'Quidam'. Their style is infuenced by the neo-progressive currents of the years 1990/2000 and they evolve between symphonic and atmospheric rock with solos of aerial guitars which could be a mixture of 'Santana' and 'Pink-Floyd' and with a talented singer, 'Marta Glowacka' who evolves in her native language and who can recall artists like 'Hayley Griffiths' from 'Karnataka' (see here) or 'Olivia Sparnenn' from 'Mostly Autumn' (see here) or the French 'Laetitia Chaudemanche' from 'Weend'o' (see here). The 9 compositions are all accessible from the first listening with beautiful melodic lines between melancholy and planing atmosphere and there is a perfect balance between sung and instrumental parts as in the last 'Za Witrażem' which is a good example of the atmosphere that emanates the group. In summary, the Polishs of ‘Anamor' come back with a quality album that should appeal to all those who love a melodic and aerian progressive rock to calmly listen with headphones...
