Already 11 albums released and more than 20 years of existence, 'Mostly Autumn' are releasing in this beginning of 2017 their 12th opus, 'Sight Of Day' thanks to the participative financing. For that length of time, they have made a name in the world of progressive rock but they never affected a large international audience remaining confined to England. Let's hope that 'Sight Of Day' can change the game because we are holding an high quality album : first of all, the eponymous title of more than 14 minutes built in 3 parts that embarks you in their universe pop/rock with a very melodic first part in crescendo where the aerial voice of ‘Olivia Sparnenn' is perfect. It follows 3 instrumental minutes which begins with a piano where the guitar joins for the continuation in a solo full of feeling and emotion. Change of style with the final part where we find Olivia and Bryan duo supported by an acoustic guitar and a melody close to 'Karnataka' finishing in a magnificent way. The continuation maintains the same high level with rich and varied compositions always very melodic which are shared between the duo Olivia/Bryan which brings a special emotion and sumptuous and aerial guitar solos. In short, with 'Sight Of Day', 'Mostly Autumn' released undoubtedly their best album that makes me, one of the leading groups of progressive rock...
