With 'Leaves Rolling in Time', the Italians of 'Walk In Darkness' are already their fourth album in 5 years, after 'In the Shadows of Things' in 2017, 'Welcome to the New World' in 2018 and 'On the Road to Babylon' in 2020. We find this mixture of symphonic and gothic metal and this last opus is in the continuity of the previous ones and the Italians continue to offer us moderate and rather dark atmospheres in compositions favoring slow tempos with harmonious melodic lines.

On the menu of this opus, 9 titles for a 47-minute listening time are offered to us, the last composition being an alternative cover of 'No Oxygen in the West' sung by 'Shaman'. 'Ships to Atlantis' welcomes us with magnificent vocal arrangements and unfolds a first catchy melody, 'Nicoletta Rosellini' alternating in a very beautiful way, clear and lyrical singing. The title song follows, which begins with an acoustic guitar and calm vocalizations, and which quickly gains momentum with the arrival of electric instruments and growls, this striking and very original opposition continuing throughout the composition and the memorable chorus bringing an impressive feeling of power. Always on a slow tempo, 'Bent by Storms and Dreams' offers a crescendo introduced by a soft piano/voice duet which rapidly increases in power, and which continues in the second part with a new crescendo after a break in intensity in the middle of the title. showing all the vocal talent of 'Nicoletta Rosellini' who perfectly adapts her singing to the intensity of the moment. The suite continues to deliver catchy melodies on slow tempos alternating between different intensities and we cannot miss the contrasting 'Get Away' with its memorable chorus, the last four titles 'Walk Close to Me', 'No Oxygen in the West', 'The Last Glow of Day' and 'Elizabeth' having nothing to envy to the first half of the album.

In summary, in the continuity of the previous albums, 'Leaves Rolling in Time' continues the adventure of the Italians of 'Walk In Darkness' with new catchy compositions merging symphonic and gothic metal and if you like a metal giving off dark and melancholic atmospheres on beautiful melodic lines, you should undoubtedly adhere to this latest album from the Italians...
