It's still Italy that take centre-stage with 'Walk In Darkness', created in 2015 and who released their first album in 2017. Not easy to put them in a precise box because they mix several styles and atmospheres between rock And metal. The first track 'Heavy Wings Of Destiny', after a soft introduction with a piano, takes us into a Gothic atmosphere with growls on the border of the dark which reminds me a little 'Tristania'. Different style for 'Last Siren' much more symphonic close to melodic rock. About 'Chance Of The Storm', the guitar riffs come back but we alternate rythmed parts and other calmer ones where 'Nicoletta Rosellini' shows us that she can adapt to the atmosphere of each title. Noe that the last title 'Alexandria', a duet with 'Magdalena Lee', with its slight Oriental influences clses the album beautifully. In short, the Italians of 'Walk In Darkness', for a first album, appear already very mature and offer us a set of varied titles which should please all amateurs of rock/metal privileging the diversity... | |
