The Swede 'Daniel Flores' is a busy artist as they participate in multiple projects such as 'First Signal' (see here), 'Palace' (see here) and he is the leader of 'The Murder of My Sweet', of which here is the latest album 'Brave Tin World' which succeeds 'Echoes of the Aftermath' released in 2017 (see column here). With the same line-up, they continue to offer us melodic compositions between rock and metal in a direct style and easily assimilated and I never understood too much the tag 'cinematic metal' that is sticked to them : for me, as I already wrote it in 2017, they mix accessible melodies of variety with energetic guitar riffs and the titles which characterize them well are the two melodic jewels 'Head of the Snake' and 'Everyone Wins' which mix keyboards and riffs guitar on a simple but effective melody. Overall, the 11 tracks are on this scheme and we can note quieter songs like 'Safe in the Shadows', 'Memento' or even 'Alchemy of Sins' well placed between the more energetic tracks and which all have beautiful melodic lines. In summary, the Swedes of 'The Murder of My Sweet' are releasing an album full of accessible compositions and therefore, 'Brave Tin World' is recommended for a large audience who like mixing effective melodies with the power of guitar riffs... | |
