Already more than 2 years since the first album of the Swedish 'Michael Palace' has been released (see here) and after 2 busy years with different projects such as 'Code Red' in 2017 (see here) or 'First Signal’ (see the chronic here) or 'Cry Of Dawn' (see here) in which the drummer and keyboardist 'Daniel Flores' was present, it is quite natural to find the 2 artists together for the last 'Palace', 'Binary Music'. First, with the first titles, we refind the familiar world of melodic rock of the 80s with catchy melodies resumed in chorus and keyboards on the same level as guitars. But, the peculiarity of this album is that it also brings a variety of titles out of the guideline of the album: first, 'Queen of the Prom' embarks us for a title between the 'Beatles' and 'Queen' which does good and boost you for a whole day; then the beautiful ballad 'Who's Counting Time' which is classic but very effective allows a well-deserved break before the energetic 'Julia' with its introduction close to 'Supertramp' and an addictive refrain, and with the last title 'To Have and to Hold', we are back to melodic rock like ‘Toto' and a melody that never leaves you. In summary, this new album 'Michael Palace' with his accomplice 'Daniel Flores' is a very good album of melodic rock accessible to a wide audience and 'Binay Music' shows once again all the melodic talent of the Swede...
