After releasing 'Kna'an' with their Amaseffer friends in 2016 (see Here), we waited impatiently for the little brother of the magnificent 'All Is One' that had, at the time, made me discover 'Orphaned Land' and the pacifist crusade by the music of his leader 'Kobi Fari' represented by the very strong symbol of the interweaving of religious symbols, Christian cross, Muslim crescent and Star of David. Since then, after 2 beautiful concerts at z7 in Pratteln near Basel, I discovered this 'Unsung Prophets and Dead Messiahs' and I must say that the group has gained further momentum and height in his compositions. First of all, what I liked from amble, the mixture of different influences is even more intertwined and for example, with 'All Kowing Eye' we do not know if the East is more present than the West or conversely because it is finally a perfect alchemy that makes it a sort of universal song. Then, by the theme inspired by the philosophical concept of Plato's cave, 'Kobi Farhi' takes the opportunity to revive his pilgrim's habit of music to shout out loud based on the history of the messiahs or the writings of great visionary writers (see the interview Kobi MusicWaves website Here). Finally, because ‘Orphaned Land’ has evolved into more progressive compositions like 'Chains Fall to Gavity' which, with its 9 minutes, gives us goosebumps and takes us into a crescendo where different atmospheres follow each other with a sumptuous bonus guitar solo of 'Steve Hackett' (see his latest album where ‘Kobi Farhi‘ sang on one of the tracks Here). In summary, 'Orphaned Land' continues its commitment to gather by the music by offering us at the beginning of 2018 his most successful album hoping that the strong message delivered allows some to get out of 'their cave' to give up all their narrow prejudices and realize that altruism develops also in the exchange and knowledge of other cultures...
