'Magnolia' is an Italian progressive rock band that is releasing its second studio album 'Con Fuocco' with a theme relating to the resistances to different oppressive regimes. The first eponymous title of the album is instrumental with a vocal accompaniment that shows all the talent of the singer 'Chiara Gironi'. The sequel plunges us into a melodic and energetic progressive atmosphere with for example 'Revolta' which tells the revolts against the capitalist system of finance, then with 'La Città Della Notte', which recounts the meeting of the G8 of Genoa, the ambiance is more oppressive and this title reminds me of the 'I Want You' atmosphere of the 'Beatles' with the repetition of the main theme that accentuates the sense of urgency. The talent of this group is to make music part of the central theme and only the last title cut into 3 parts is away from the revolted compositions of the beginning of the album, embarking us for 13 minutes of very intense atmospheric and aerian ambiances filled with sensitivity in the manner of groups like 'Karnataka' Here) or 'Mostly Autumn' (see Here). In summary, 'Magnolia' is a group of talented artists and, even if they do not have the international recognition they deserve to have, they release a beautiful album very accessible to add to the ideal collection of any progressive rock lover...
