I discovered the 'Salva Sweden' project with the album 'Off The Deep End' released in 2018 and which has been followed in 2020 by 'A Thousand Ways to Disappear'. The year 2022 sees the birth of a new studio recording 'Ghost Story' and it is another opus offering us very beautiful varied progressive compositions, always well supplied because of the 6 titles, 3 exceed 10 minutes.

And it is with the longest title of the album, 'Awakening' that we begin our listening which takes us on a beautiful journey alternating different soundscapes and which offers us beautiful melodic lines and remarkable instrumental parts some of whose singing reminds me of 'Alan Parson'. Follows 'Discovery' which begins calmly but which quickly gains momentum with sounds of vintage keyboards, and which presents many variations of tempo and intensity with a very beautiful 'Floydian' guitar solo in the second part and a runaway original finale in which the rhythm section leads the dance. With 'Gig', we continue in an original and varied progressive, and, after a provided instrumental introduction, the sung part is particularly melodic and rhythmic, and the title ends with another instrumental section highlighting aerial keyboards and a new solo wonderful guitar. Make way for the second long development 'Ghost' which again presents a patchwork of different atmospheres with a very beautiful division between sung and instrumental parts making it a typical title of an inventive progressive, then, 'Everysong' is a very beautiful ballad with a memorable new melody. And to end this magnificent album, the 11 minutes of 'Score' accompany us in a new progressive saga in which we let ourselves be carried away by this title in several drawers with beautiful vocal harmonies and a very beautiful keyboard solo in the second part.

In summary, the Swedes of 'Salva' offer us a new album which continues to offer remarkable progressive compositions which, despite their length, remain very accessible and capture the attention from beginning to end thanks to multiple mood changes and catchy melodic lines...
