After the very good 'Gothica' in 2017 and 'Illuminati' which followed in 2018, the British of 'Ten', after 4 years of absence, released a new opus entitled 'Here Be Monsters'. Casually, the group's first eponymous opus dates to 1996 and this latest baby is the 15th studio recording. It's no surprise that we find this effective hard rock with melodies that go straight into your head from the first listen and, it must be emphasized that this last point is really highlighted for this last album because I would have well had trouble if I had been in place of the group to designate only two or three singles. So, parade hits one behind the other which each give great immediate pleasure: for my part, after a first listen, I had a hard time believing that the opus lasted an hour flat so this hour had passed quickly. Everything flows naturally and, even if we say to ourselves that we have the impression of having already heard all these beautiful melodies somewhere, we also say to ourselves that we are going through a best of melodic rock and hard rock from the last four decades. In short, no need to add more, this last album of the English of 'Ten' is certainly one of the best of this formation which continues to deliver us very good rock and melodic hard rock and 'Here Be Monsters' should become a must for the fans of this style... | |
