‘Kamelot’ has now existed for nearly 30 years and is one of the essential formations of symphonic metal at the world level with a past rich in twists which has seen an impressive number of artists of the genre scroll. 2020 saw the release of a Blue Ray/DVD recorded on September 14, 2018 in Tilburg, a city in Holland which has seen a lot of artists from the metal scene including a certain 'Arjen Anthony Lucassen' and his production 'Electric Castle Live And Other Tales' in 2019.

Surrounded by a nice range of guest singers (see list below), the 5 artists of 'Kamelot' offer us a dense concert of an hour and three quarters with compositions taken from the entire discography of the band going from a huge 'Forever' from the 2001 album 'Karma' to the last opus 'The Shadow Theory' of 2018 which is well represented, just like the album 'Haven' of 2015, this being normal because it was in a way the album of the consecration for 'Tommy Karevik'. After a gigantic symphonic entry as often in this kind of live, we therefore find unstoppable melodies magnified in this live by a fiery power (we can say it because in addition the light show is not bad either) and we can quote in bulk, the first track 'Phantom Devine' which begins the concert in an overflowing energy with a 'Thomas Karevik' at the top of his form, 'Insomnia' with its heady chorus that all the fans accompany just like in 'End of Innocence', 'My Confession' with its breaks in rhythm and intensity and its melodic lines that never leave you or even the heavy mid-tempo 'March of Mephisto' chanted by all the fans present, the end of the concert gratifying us with a moving 'Burns to Embrace' with a children's choir for the occasion that gives us goosebumps. And when the lights are dimmed, moments of calm are brought by two magnificent ballads, first of all 'Under Gray Skies' with the participation of 'Charlotte Wessels' ('Delain') which forms a remarkable duet with Tommy, then the moment suspended in time 'Here's to the Fall', of a palpable emotion, in which 'Tommy Karevik' also shows all his singing talent in this much quieter style.

In short, as formations like 'Epica' or 'Delain' had done, 'Kamelot' finally released a live worthy of the name with the DVD / Blue Ray version which allows to immortalize with video this atmosphere and this communicative energy that emanates from this type of symphonic metal concert with, in this case, 'Tommy Karevik' as master of ceremonies who gives us an admirable performance from the first to the last title: to be enjoyed without moderation with its home cinema while slightly increasing the sound level...
