Three years after 'Haven', which celebrated the 20th anniversary of its first album, 'Kamelot' released a new album 'The Shadow Theory' which is a concept album which tells how in a future world the power has got its hands on citizens to better control them and the goal of some is to find this key that allows them to resume their destiny in hand (any resemblance to an existing world ... !!). This theme is tailor-made for the symphonic power style of the band and about music side, we are in continuity with previous albums with a symphonic aspect put forward thanks to the omni-present orchestration and they particularly worked the melodies that catch you from the first listening as in the beautiful refrain of 'Burns To Embrace' resumed on the final by a chorus of children. In addition, the diversity of titles allows to vary the moods between the powerful and energetic titles and other quieter as the beautiful ballad 'In Twilight Hours', the mid-tempo 'Static' or 'Stories Unheard' which mixes softness and power and the last title 'The Proud and the Broken' sums up the entire album: a catchy melody and alternating powerful and quiet parts. In short, 'The Shadow Theory' confirms that 'Kamelot' continues to offer us more and more successful albums and this last album should appeal to all fans but also reach an audience of metal lovers whether power, melodic or symphonic as did 'Serenity' in its last album (see Here)...
