After 'The Earth Embraces Us All' in 2016 (see Here), a live in 2017 'Mashere - A Night at the Theater' in 2017 (see Here) and after a change of line up which saw the departure of 'Chiara Tricarico' and the arrival of 2 new singers, 'Alessia Scolletti' and 'Michele Guaitoli', 2018, sees the release of the new Italian album of 'Temperance', 'Of Jupiter and Moons'. They always propose us symphonic metal and this last opus is focused on compositions accessible from the first listening with melodies easily assimilated like the first title 'The Last Hope in a World of Hopes' which looks like a mixture between 'Nightwish' and 'Within Temptation'. With 'Broken Promises', we continue in the same style and the chorus highlights remarkably the duet Alessia/ Michele which is really a plus in this kind of compositions. Follows 'Of Jupiter and Moons', a very 'Nightwishien' title then the rhythm is calmer with the beautiful mid-tempo 'Everything I Am' and it starts again with the energetic 'We are free'. We have to wait for the end of the album for the ballad 'Empires and Men' and the last track of more than 7 minutes summarizes the whole with all the ingredients that make it a very good symphonic and epic title. In summary, even if this new album is a little more public oriented compared to the previous one, the Italians of 'Temperance' released a quality album which shows an evolution thanks to their new vocal duo and which places them in the leading group of symphonic metal bands...
