It's a group shot of hard rock and melodic rock chronicle in myprogmusic because after 'Rust n' Rage' and 'Find Me', it's the turn of Swedish 'Tommy Denander' well known on the international melodic hard rock scene (see search in myprogmusic here) to return with the new album 'XXX' of his project 'Radioactive', after 7 years of absence since the last opus 'F4ur' dates from 2015. With this new baby, he celebrates 30 years of creation. one of this project and, for the occasion, he invited the cream of the singers of the international scene of melodic hard rock and we find 'Robbie LaBlanc' who is precisely the singer of the last 'Find Me' released the same day, the multi-instrumentalist 'Clif Magness', Jérôme Mazza ('Pinnacle Point '), 'Robin McAuley'.

With this beautiful skewer, 'Tommy Denander' offers us an album full of good melodic hard-rock and it starts strong with 'Monkey On Our Backs' (see the video above) which sends us a first energetic missile with good riffs sharpened to 'AC/DC', a rather classic but so effective chorus and 'Jérôme Mazza' at the top of his game. The sequel scrolls the same kind of title with 'The Dee dis Gone', this time sung by 'Robin McAuley' who hardens his voice for an explosive new hard rock hit, just like 'Remember the Ghosts' which follows and whose performance voice of 'Robbie LaBlanc' has nothing to envy to its two predecessors. We will find our three friends in other equally remarkable titles, 'Jérôme Mazza' and 'Robin McAuley' singing three each and 'Robbie LaBlanc' two. We can also mention 'Christian Ingebrigtsen' who sings remarkably on the magnificent ballad 'Written in the Scars' which can recall the ballads of 'Foreigner' and the last two compositions, the frenzied 'Drag Me Through The Mud' and 'California Ways' which is in a more AOR vibe are performed by 'Daniel Byrne' and 'Clif Magness' respectively.

In short, this anniversary of the thirty years of 'Radioactive' is a firework of melodic singles and shows all the talent of 'Tommy Denander' who is part of the impressive list of Swedish artists who regularly delight us with good melodic hard rock since now a good bundle of decades...
