Album of the playlist 2020 : Metal symphonic albums of the year

After a first LP in 2016 which had made a strong impression on me at the time (see here), the Germans of 'Canterra' are releasing a new album between the EP and the LP since it only totals 31 small minutes when their first baby exceeded the listening hour. The line up is always the same, with the exception of 'Mark Cross' who is invited to ensure the rhythm section, 'Max Krüger' having left the group and the singer 'Korinna König' has evolved in her vocals and I had draws a parallel with 'Tarja' in my first review which is no longer relevant because the German chose a clear voice that she masters perfectly and is now closer to singers like 'Sharon Den Adel' or 'Charlotte Wessels'

In summary, even if we expected a slightly more fleshed out album from 'Canterra', The Germans are releasing a very good album which destines 'Heartmachine' to a public who likes direct and melodic symphonic metal...

Line Up / Musicians

Korinna König (Vocal), Hendrik Zantop (Guitar), Hannes Otto (Guitar), Tom Steudel Schlagzeug (Bass) + invité : Mark Cross (Drums)
