The Swiss of 'Crystal Ball' release a new album 'Crysteria' after 'Already-Voodoo' in 2016 and 'Crystallizer' in 2018. No surprise, we find the hard rock/melodic metal mix of the two previous opuses with addictive choruses, and for this opus, 'Peter Berger' is the new guitarist who has integrated very well and forms a very beautiful duo in the guitar solos with 'Scott Leach'. Apart from the last title 'Till You Meet Again' which is a very beautiful acoustic ballad reminding me of those of 'Lanvall' and 'Sabine Edelsbacher' with their project 'Voiciano', all the tracks deploy good energy starting with the opener 'What Part Of No' which gives us a memorable first chorus, then the hits follow one after the other and whether it's rhythmic mid-tempos like 'You Lit My Fire' (see the video above) with its 'Def Leppard' style introduction and backing vocals, 'Crysteria' or even the addictive 'Make My Day' and 'Sole Conviction' or whether it's faster compositions like 'Call Of The Wild' which sees the participation of singer 'Ronnie Romero', 'I Am Rock' (see the video here< /a>), 'No Limits' or even 'Crystal Heart', everything is done to have a good time listening. In summary, without revolutionizing hard rock and melodic metal, the Swiss of 'Crystal Ball' continue their merry way with this 11th album filled with a communicative energy and 'Crysteria' should please all fans of melodies addictive and muscular riffs of electric guitars... |
