If you read myprogmusic reviews, you start to know the Brisilians of 'Fleesh' who regularly release covers of progressive artists and who have also recorded a studio album 'Across The Sea' in 2019 and, after the magnificent tribute to 'Renaissance' released in mid 2020, this time they are attacking a monument of progressive rock, I named 'Genesis'. And as for 'Renaissance', they take us back to the 70s with all the albums that have become legendary by performing 17 songs and the great strength of this opus is to have chosen compositions which completely revisit the vocal part and which brings this feminine sweetness of 'Gabby Vessoni' making us have a wonderful time. On the instrumental side, 'Celo Oliveira' performs as usual with all the instruments and I will only mention the guitar solo in 'Firth of Fifth' in which, we really have the impression of hearing 'Steve Hackett' (who has just released a wonderful live 'Selling England by The Pound & Spectral Mornings : Live at Hammersmith' in which he covers the whole of 'Selling England by the Pound' which is well represented in the album of the Brazilians). For those who are interested, I gave the list of songs performed with their original album and their year of release. In summary, the Brazilians of 'Fleesh' continue their adventure with sumptuous covers which make us rediscover the best artists of the period which saw the blossoming of progressive rock and which leaves behind a good part of the musical nuggets that have become essential when we mention this style of music ...
