'Returned To The Earth' is an English band from Warwickshire whose self-titled debut album date of 2016. 2022 sees the release of their 4th studio recording 'Fall Of The Watcher', after 'The Best Kept Secret' in 2018 and 'Erebus' in 2019. In a quiet and relaxing atmospheric style, this latest opus offers us 6 compositions between 5 and 10 minutes and, it is added to the last chronicles of 'Bjørn Riis' with 'Everything to Everyone', from 'CEN-ProjekT' with 'The Lost One' and 'Strange Pop' with 'Ten Years Gone' because the released moods are very close to these 3 albums.

The eponymous title of the album begins in a feeling of serenity with a slow tempo which unrolls a first melody on which we completely abandon ourselves, the guitar solo 'Gilmourien' and the sweet singing of 'Robin Peachey' adding again to this soothing climate, and the end of the instrumental title brings a slight acceleration allowing to bring a certain diversity so as not to make the whole thing too linear. 'White Room' with its hushed rhythm continues in this hypnotic climate with accompaniments of electro keyboard sounds bringing us back to the early 80s and reminiscent of those released by 'In The Air Tonight' by 'Phil Collins', then, 'Drowing' continues in this delicate atmosphere with a new endearing melody. We stay on the little silky cloud on which we were mounted from the beginning of the album with 'Sacrificed in Vain' which takes us to the rhythm of a slow tempo in 10 relaxing minutes with a slightly more vigorous instrumental central part, then, 'Lack of Information' is a melodic gem that can recall the atmospheres of certain titles of the Germans from 'RPWL'. And we end this very beautiful soothing and relaxing journey with 'April Sky' which deploys a new melody filled with poetry and we let ourselves be lulled one last time by the sensitive and delicate singing of 'Robin Peachey'.

In summary, like the albums released recently and mentioned above, the English of 'Returned To Earth' release a magnificent album punctuated by beautiful atmospheric melodies carrying a beautiful delicacy and which can be enjoyed quietly on headphones on the ears to recharge your batteries after a hard day's work...
