'Lilly Hiatt' is a singer-songwriter-interpreter who returned to 'Nashville' in a place called 'Trinity Lane' and simply called her last album of the same name because it was there that she isolated herself to write all the compositions. Like a 'Bob Dylan' or a 'Neil Young', she simply describes her life with all the episodes that reappear, such as' Imposter ', which tells of the difficulty her father had for raise her after her mother's suicide when she was one year old. The writing of this album was for her a kind of therapy to cure her old demons. About style, we sail between rock, blues and country with inevitably, considering the subject matter, a special emotion that transpires from each title and which carries you away in case you enter in her universe. In some places, she makes me think of some compositions of 'Fleetwood Mac' like in 'Records' or 'Rotterdam'. In short, with 'Trinity Lane', 'Lilly Hiatt' has bared all and offers us her most authentic album that goes beyond music to make it simply a poignant testimony on her life...
