'Braden Barrie' is an independent Canadian songwriter and singer who began his career about 10 years ago and uses social media to promote his music and made his name in North America by going to meet people to share his passion for the song. For his latest album 'Beautiful Mess', he uses crowdfunding (see here). In terms of music, this last album is part of the great tradition of popular song with rather short songs, melodic and accessible from the first listen. Apart from 3 semi-acoustic popisants titles 'Daisy Dew', 'Honey' and 'Here's My Heart', the other compositions are stripped and keep only the essential of the music. Each title contains a lot of melancholy and emotion with an accompaniment of some piano notes or some guitar chords embellished with electronic sounds that bring an air side.
