In the serie "it's in old pots that we make the best soups", it's still 'Alice Cooper' who, after 'Paranormal' in 2017 and 'Detroit Stories' in 2021 to which we can add the 'Live in Rio' with the 'Hollywood Vampires' and 'Johnny Depp', releases a new album 'Road' and continues his journey started almost 60 years ago with his first group when he covered songs from the 'Beatles' and 54 years later his first album 'Pretties For You' during the psychedelic period. What can we say about this new album except that there is still nothing to throw away in this new baby from the American and the 13 tracks (including a magnificent cover of 'Road Rats' from 1977 in another tone with a modern sound and the cover of 'Magic Bus' from 'The Who') go by at a hundred miles an hour, normal you might say for a theme on the life of a group on tour with all its adventures whether good or not so good. I cannot highlight one of the compositions because with each intro, the headbanging machine automatically starts with this direct and effective rock and especially with a "live" recording in the studio, and, it simply stops at the end of the album for the tender moment 'Baby Please Don't Go' which is a magnificent ballad which would certainly have been a hit in the 70s.

In short, from the top of its seventy-five years, we are still caught in the rock whirlwind of 'Alice Cooper' which takes us back to the best of 70s rock and if you want even more, you can always get the Box Set version of 'The Road' which includes the CD, 2 vinyls and especially the Blu-ray of the 'Hellfest' 2022 concert...
