Not easy to present 'Perfect Beings' which is a progressive music band but is very difficult to put in a specific box. This is the kind of artists that bothers some and admire others and you can certainly find completely opposite reviews on the internet. With this band, we are immersed in a profusion of juxtaposed styles without really logical continuation. We must be well motivated and especially tame little by little this 3rd studio album 'Vier' which has 4 main parts each of them is divided into several titles for a total of one hour and a quarter of music. From the first title 'Guedra - A new Pyramid', we go from a jazzy atmosphere to pop with very original vocal harmonies. With the 2nd title of 'Guedra', after a magnificent crescendo the title ends in a calm and serene atmosphere. 'Patience' then takes us into an atmosphere of the 60s / 70s that we could compare at the beginning of the progressive with the titles of 'Master Of Rock' of 'Pink Floyd' where the English began to mix with classical song new sounds. With the last part of 'Guedra', the voice of 'Ryan Hurtgen' and the volutes of the Saxophone 'Brett McDonald' make us travel in a serene atmosphere with always this 'Floydian' influence. Change of scenery for the second part 'The Golden Arc' which flirts with contemporary music with references to artists like 'Ravel' or 'Stravinsky' to which they add their more conventional progressive personal touch. I could cite all titles so each brings something original and makes us travel in an atmosphere different from the others. In summary, this 3rd album of 'Perfect Beings' of great musical richsness, is a patchwork of styles that requires a lot of listening to visit every nook and which is full of various inspirations and, for this reason, it is likely to remain reserved for an audience of warned public open to musical genres quite distant from each other...
