'Brocelian' is still a German band that is celebrating its 10th anniversary and is releasing its 2nd studio recording 'Guardians of Brocéliande'. In the same way as their compatriots 'Visionatica', they offer us a short opus of 37 minutes with 10 titles with durations not exceeding 4 minutes. Listening to the first title 'Wrath of Nature', I feel like I hear 'Epica' in a softer register with nevertheless ubiquitous choruses. Despite the presence of saturated guitar riffs, this softer side also appears in a title like 'A Life for You' and we can also see folk influences in 'Guardians of Brocéliande' and 'Fire of My Heart' with a very beautiful vocal duet between 'Susan' and 'Alicja Mroczka'. They are equally at home in faster titles like 'Speed of Light', 'Now It's Time' or 'The Signs' and the two ballads 'My Last Melody' and 'Summer Days' bring welcome breaks. In summary, like 'Visionatica', with this new album 'Guardians of Broceliande', the Germans of 'Brocelian' have all the assets to make a beautiful place in international symphonic metal scene...
