After 'Shadows And Silhouettes' in 2016 (see here), 'Oliver Hartmann' returns with a 5th studio album 'Hands on the Wheel'. With this latest album, the style is more rock than the previous one: from the beginning, with 'Do not Want Back Down', it's melodic hard-rock, powerful and effective even if it does not bring real novelty. Then 'You Best Excuse' and 'Cold as Stone' are in the same style, and the single of the album 'Simple Man' in duo with 'Eric Martin' of 'Mr Big' takes us in a very successful folk/rock register where we can not help but stamp our feet in measure. The sequel alternates energetic titles like 'Last Planes Out' or 'The Harder They Come' and quieter ones like the beautiful ballad 'Soulmates' or 'I Remember' plus rock FM. The album ends with a power ballade 'The Sky is Falling' very seventies and especially the magnificent 'Heart of Gold' in acoustic where Oliver shows all his vocal talent In summary, 'Oliver Hartmann' is still releasing a very successful, accessible and melodic album between rock and hard rock in the great tradition of the 70s/80s...
