'Beth Hart' (see her latest album Here ) and 'Joe Bonamassa' (see his latest live album Here), who had already recorded duet albums, 'Do not Explain' from 2011, 'Seesaw' in 2013 and 'Live In Amsterdam' in 2014, to put it back in early 2018 to release 'Black Coffee' which had been waiting for several weeks by all the fans of the 2 artists. Inspired by the blues repertoire with compositions made famous by, among others, 'Ray Charles', 'Etta James', 'Steve Marriot', 'Ella Fitzgerald' or 'Peggy Lee', they offer the best of themselves, Beth by her voice which never ceases to move us as much on the energetic titles as on the ballads and Joe by his feeling to send us solis of guitar which is the only one to have the secret ('Lullaby of the Leaves' is the perfect illustration of this beautiful complicity). In addition, they know how to surround themselves with talented artists who gravitate with the greatest of the blues and the producer is none other than 'Kevin Shirley' who worked with formations like 'Dream Theater' or 'Aerosmith'. Their secret is certainly, as Beth says, in the way of recording: "Currently, there are all these layers of recording and then it's time for you to sing and it's like you're not doing any more music. There's nothing like being able to sit there and see Joe, see the drums, see the bass, see Kevin. I can feel the vibrations, it changes everything. ". In short, 'Black Coffee' is still a wonderful album of these two authentic artists who in 5 days, have recorded 10 original and timeless covers and this for our greatest pleasure...
