An album every year, this is now the frequency of 'Lee Abraham' albums release because after 'Comatose' in 2019 and 'Harmony / Synchronicity' in 2020, it's the turn of 'Only Human' to be released with a bit of a delay on the streaming platforms since the CD was released in early September 2021. He continues with the same artists to offer us a varied and accessible progressive rock with harmonious melodies influenced by the 80s and this album is the continuation of the previous one in which he already dealt with the global pandemic. On this album he explains that, and I quote, "many of us have experienced feelings of isolation and inadequacy over the past 18 months, like never before. Some people have used this to re-examine where their life is going, what’s important to them and perhaps come up with their own theories on life in general and why we’re all here!”

On the menu of 'Only Human', 'Lee Abraham' offers us, first, a long development of almost 30 minutes cut into 4 parts and then 4 other compositions for a short hour of listening. Let's start with the long piece 'Counting Down' which takes us into a progressive maze with 'Floydian' influences in several drawers that are drawn one after the other, alternating different atmospheres and rhythms and with melodic lines that are always very accessible, which makes it one of the most accomplished compositions of the Englishman. The rest of the album is just as catchy with the other compositions which are, although shorter, of the same quality as 'Counting Down': First of all, the title track offers us a very nice melody with a slow tempo that has a great strength thanks to the imposing bass, then 'Days Gone By' and 'Falling Apart' continue in a quiet atmosphere bringing us back to the 80's with a catchy rhythm, the album ends with the beautiful ballad 'The Hands of Time' with a new memorable melody and a very nice guitar solo in the middle of the track.

In summary, it is still a very beautiful album that 'Lee Abraham' offers us by making us go back to the AOR style of the 80s with beautiful melodic lines that seem familiar to us which destines 'Only Human' to a wide audience because all the compositions are very accessible from the first listening...
