'Technicoloured Eyes' is the 4th studio album of the Dutch of 'Kingfisher Sky' which was formed in 2001 by the meeting of the ex-drummer of 'Within Temptation', 'Ivar de Graaf' and the female singer 'Judith Rijnveld'. Their style is a mixture of rock and metal between progressive and symphonic that can remind their compatriots of 'Stream Of Passion' especially as 'Judith Rijnveld' in some registers approaches the vocal of 'Marcela Bovio' (see his last solo album Here). In addition, Judith records all voices such as the magnificent 'Golden Thrones' which gives the impression of hearing a beautiful voice duet. The 11 titles are varied and we navigate between refine compositions like the beautiful ballad 'Stop The Silence' and other more muscular flirting with metal like 'Next in Line' through the catchy 'Walk With Brothers' between pop and rock or the melancholy 'Dream Behond a Dream' which closes the album beautifully without forgetting this tasty mix between the classic aerial register of Judith's and the powerful progressive style in 'Next In Line'. In summary, 'Technicoloured Eyes' is an album that, because of its diversity, requires several listenings to tame it but which ultimately proves to be certainly the most resulted recording of 'Kingficher Sky'...
