An English symphonic metal band led by a supermodel and actress who was already known in the musical world as 'Jet Noir', it’s not common : well, this band is called 'Coburg' of the name of this beautiful female singer who took in the adventure members of 'Naked Lunch' and 'Jet Noir' and who have just released their first album 'The Enchantress'. The base is powerful and melodic with saturated guitars but they also modulate the metal side by the addition of modern electro sounds and the mixture of the two will undoubtedly allow them to open to a large enough audience especially as the majority titles have standard lengths. Overall, they develop mysterious and theatrical atmospheres with titles like 'A Cold Days in Hell' or 'The Hall of Ghosts' or 'The Enchantress' and we could compare some melodies to the atmospheres created by some titles of 'Tarja' (Of course, I do not speak of the vocal technique which is completely different). In short, even if the purists of the symphonic metal will probably criticize the addition of electronics, this 'The Enchantress' is for me a very good surprise 2017 and 'Coburg' already shows that they master their subject completely what should make them know by a relatively wide audience...
