After their reformation in 2013, the Americans of 'Dan Reed Network' was relaunched by the release in 2016 of the album 'Fight Another Day' (see here ) and the end of 2018 has seen the release of the new album 'Origins' which is, as its name suggests, is partially a return to the origins since on the 8 tracks, 4 are old titles taken for the occasion ('Ritual' and 'Forgot to Make Her Mine' from 1988,'Rainbow Child' from 1989 and 'Let it Go' from 1991). So, we refind this mix of funk and rock that was their trademark but the 4 unpublished are more in a style between pop and rock with melodic lines that immediately attract like the beautiful mid-tempo 'Fade to Light' with his catchy chorus or the training 'Shameless' very 80s. In short, although this last album is a kind of EP because it is only 38 minutes with only 4 originals, 'Origins' is a accessible melodic pop/rock album and should satisfy all the fans of the Americans and may allow some to discover this group that had not necessarily had a great celebrity in the 80s/90s...
