If you like music that is accessible, keep moving and run, because 'Engineering Chaos', which is the first album of the Greek band of 'The Manhattan Project', equests a special attention to penetrate this instrumental universe shared between speed progressive metal and epic cinematographic metal spliced with a dose of traditional Greek influence. The typical example is 'X-10' shared between raging riffs and orchestral parts with strings and choirs. Same observation with 'Nuclear Sun', where metal electric instruments and traditional instruments are mixed in a very well oriented oriental atmosphere. With 'Metanoia', it's a short title with an atonal construction that gives us a perfect image of chaos. The album ends with the majestic 'Day One: Trinity' where 'Yannis Papadopoulos' lends its voice and which sums up very well this record. In conclusion, 'The Manhattan Project' is a band with rich and worked compositions but will certainly be limited to a limited audience of progressive metal lovers open to mix of styles...
