Brazilians 'Fleesh', after their debut album 'Across The Sea' which had been one of my 2019 favourites, then spoiled us with the releases of beautiful covers, including the two compilations 'Version I' and 'Version II', then, the two tributes devoted to 'Renaissance' and 'Genesis', not to mention the 'Live at Carioca Progfestival'. With 'Eclipsed', 2021 sees the birth of the little brother of 'Across The Sea' and shows that, if the duo has an immense talent to cover other artists' compositions, they also have, at least, the same talent to offer us original albums of their own production.
.
And right off the bat, we're taken on board in 'Stuck' (see video above), showing all the songwriting skills of 'Celo Oliveira' which could make some progressive artists jealous and immediately brings to the fore the sweet harmonious vocals of 'Gabby Vessoni', then, the title track continues in this warm atmosphere with some beautiful instrumental parts. Next is the 'Floydian' 'Pile of Bone' (see video here) which is a beautiful ballad with a 'Gilmourian' guitar solo in which 'Gabby Vessoni' has nothing to envy to the guitarist of 'Pink-Floyd', then we continue our progressive journey with melodic gems, each of which deserves to be detailed. And to make a long story short, I'll mention my favourite tracks with the quietest compositions that bring out the emotional intensity even more: 'All My Sins' and its magnificent final crescendo featuring another masterful guitar solo and a moving vocal section, the ballad ''till the Morning Comes' which takes the emotional slider up another notch or the other ballad 'Not Alone' which is on the same level as the previous one, without forgetting the last track 'Epilogue' which ends the album with a memorable last melody.

To sum up, our Brazilian duo enchants us once again with this new album by offering us melodic progressive bringing us back to the great artists of this style starting with 'Pink Floyd' but we could quote other formations that I appreciate just as much as 'Mystery' or 'Mostly Autumn', 'Gabby Vessoni' coming close to the intense performances of Olivia Sparnenn...
