With 'Dust to Gold', Swedish 'Bullet' releases their 6th album since 2006 and they continue to offer us regular energstic and effective heavy metal. This latest opus is no exception to the rule and for those who do not know the band, 'Bullet' could be a cross between 'Saxon' and 'AC/DC'. Both say that they live their music thoroughly and that their compositions are always so direct and speed like 'Speed and Attack', 'Screams in the Night' or 'Hollow Grounds' and titles that are a little less are just as energetic with heavy and rhythmic riffs like 'Is not Enough', 'Highway Love' (a nod to their elders by replacing 'Hell' with 'Love' ?) or 'Forever Rise'. For the anecdote, the cover of the album pays homage to their old Volvo bus that they used for the tours (the Bullet Bus) and that they replaced by a bus more modern which broke down what he forced them to cancel 2 dates, like what !! In short, even if they do not bring novelties to the mill of heavy metal, this last album shows that the Swedes of 'Bullet' continue to live their music with passion and that if you are fans of the heavy metal of the 80s, this 'Dust to Gold' is for you... | |
