The same day as the Italians of 'Edge Of Forever' with their album 'Seminole' is a second bomb of melodic hard rock that comes to us from Germany with 'Kissin' Dynamite' whose latest album 'Ecatsy' is from 2018. So these are 12 new compositions with choruses to make a stadium sing and, if that of the eponymous opening title of the album doesn't affect you one way or the other, you can go your way, and for the others, you should adhere very quickly to the catchy 'What Goes Up ', 'Only The Head' or even 'Yoko Ono' which follow 'Not the End of the Road'. In the same style and with catchy melodies, we can also mention 'Coming Home', 'All for a Halleluja' with choirs that take us back to the 80s and the end of the album does not weaken with 'Defeat It' and 'Voodo Spell' with new choruses to sing along to. Between all these energetic melodic jewels, the quieter moments allow welcome breaks: 'Good Life' (see the video here) is a hymn which should go around the world, and which is a charity song for children suffering from cancer with prestigious guests including the 'ex 'Delain' singer, 'Charlotte Vessels'. The other calmer moments are the two very beautiful ballads with 'Gone for Good' and its chorus à la 'Foreigner' taking us back once again a few decades back and 'Scars', which ends this very beautiful album magnificently with a last memorable melody. In summary, the Germans of 'Kissin' Dynamite' are still releasing an album without downtime filled with good energy which will certainly be one of the best releases of 2022 in this style and it's a safe bet that 'Not the End of the Road' is going on a loop for a lot of melodic hard rock fans and the sound system in their living room sees a small momentary increase in decibels, as was my case... | |
