2021 will certainly be another excellent year in melodic rock and hard-rock as I had presented you with the playlist in June 2021 of the melodic rock/hard-rock albums of the 1st half of 2021 and the second half of the year continues to delight us in this style of music with, among other things, releases of melodic bombs from bands such as 'Social Disorder', 'Hardline', 'Rian', 'Nitrate' or even 'Vega'. To this long list, we must now add the Swedes of 'Eclipse' who, after the live 'Viva La Victouria (Live)' from early 2021, are releasing a new album 'Wired', their last studio album 'Paradigm' from 2019. No need for a long review, it's another great achievement from 'Erik Mårtensson's' band with 11 compositions that could all be the subject of a single. After 40 minutes of listening, you just want to press the play button again to take a second dose (why not a third one, and we're quite sure that this one is harmless!). Note that in addition to the 'Saturday Night (Hallelujah)' video above, 'Frontiers' has two more on their site with 'Bite The Bullet' and 'Twilight'. In short, the Swedes of Eclipse' continue to spoil us, release after release, with good energetic hard-melodic music that puts you in good shape for a whole day and in these times, that's priceless... | |
