After the very good 'The Hollographic Principle' in 2016 (see here) and the EP 'The Solar System' in 2017, the Dutch of ‘Epica' released a new EP inspired by manga 'Attack of the Titans' which was already released in Japan in 2017, and which includes 4 titles and their instrumental versions. Composed and written by 'Revo' of the Japanese group 'Sound Horizon' in a symphonic style, the set has been rehabilitated in metal and English for 'Epica'. Then, we find the particular style of the band with grandiose choruses and an imposing orchestration especially in 'Dedicate Your Heart' and the ballad 'If Inside These Walls Was a House' could very well be out of a Disney production. In short, with this EP, the Dutch show that they try to vary the projects and it will certainly be beneficial for the future and will undoubtedly allow them to renew in the future to bring real news... | |
