At first listening to this album 'TNT', I told myself that the Norwegians had released an album of the 80s which had certainly move to the hatch as it is currently a little fashionable. Well no, this 'XIII' is the thirteenth album of this band that began its career forty years ago. The 12 tracks are a journey back in time that could represent a summary of what we could do in the '80s, whether in melodic rock ('We're Gonna Make It', 'Tears In My Eyes'), commercial hard-rock ('Not Feeling Anything', 'Catch a Wave'), funk ('It's Electric'), international variety ('Were You Belong', 'Can not Breathe Anymore') or Hard FM ('Get Ready for Some Hard Rock') with always this intact talent for very accessible melodies. In short, with this last album 'XIII', the Norwegians of 'TNT' move away from hard-rock that had made them known early in their careers and this album is more to be advisable to a general public who went through the 80s and loved the different commercial styles that emanated from this period whether in pop, rock, hard-rock or variety styles... | |
