The Swedes of 'The Quill' didn't take long after their last album 'Earthrise ' of 2021 to release a new opus. With a Stoner label, they started their career over 30 years ago, and if you like direct and heavy rock/hard rock with overdriven guitars, you should be delighted with this 'Live, New, Borrowed, Blue ' which contains two original compositions which had not been retained for 'Earthrise' with 'Children Of The Sun' (see video above) and 'Burning Tree', an extended version of 'Keep On Movin' (see video here), the other tracks being covers of hard rock bands from the 70s but also live with 'Keep It Together' and 'Hole in my Head'. Therefore, 'The Quill' offers us a fairly wide range of their style and for those who would like this album, I advise you to listen to the previous ones which are available on spotify with, for example, 'Born from Fire' from 2017, 'Tiger Blood' from 2013 or 'Full Circle' from 2011. In summary, this last album from 'The Quill' is a good way to discover this heavy and direct hard rock from the Swedes which brings us back to the hard rock references of the 70s with a modern and powerful sound...
