After the two very good ones 'Power Crazy' in 2019 and 'Waiting for Good Luck' in 2021, the English from 'The Treatment' return with a sixth studio recording 'Wake Up The Neighborhood'. If you have followed the previous episodes, you are aware that each time they offer us very good hard rock taking us back a few decades and that each composition is a potential hit. Besides, there's no need to go from title to title, because you just have to listen to the first three titles which have each been the subject of a single, certainly because the order of the tracks means that they didn't get tired and took the first three (but if the order of the songs had been different, you would have three singles with other compositions). So if you want to discover this representative sample, you can also watch the 'Let's Wake Up This Town' videos (see the video above), 'Back to the 1970' (the title that we seriously want to replay over and over again both for the title and for the atmosphere) and ' When Thunder and Lightning Strikes'. In addition, in the middle of the album, we are entitled to the magnificent ballad 'I Can't Wait No Longer' which allows the album to be cut in two for the oldest in order to recover a minimum between these two parts filled with scuds well-muscled melodies. In short, no need for a long review to tell you that this album would have caused misfortune in the 70s/80s with these direct and effective hits which go straight to the point and, even if the English do not reinvent the gunpowder, we can only get involved and turn up the volume to fully enjoy this magnificent 'Wake Up The Neighborhood'... | |
