'Daylived' is an Italian band formed in 2010 by 'Marco Allemandi' and 'Gaetano Pira' and, after a debut album 'The Blackmouse' in 2015, released a few months ago a new studio recording 'Flectar'. At first listen, not easy to find a particular style because they mix rock and metal in styles that range from symphonic to progressive through the melodic. Led by their singer 'Monik Fennelles' which has a specific enough tessitura, far enough from the standard of the singers of this style, they propose us 11 varied titles because they share between powerful and catchy titles like 'Another Start' or 'Along Your Miles', others with a more progressive approach like 'Triora' or 'Their Violent Game' with changes of tempo, others who tend to pop/rock like 'Touching the Clouds' and its electronic sounds or 'Dark Exile', not forgetting the two power ballads 'My Angel Said' and the magnificent 'Behind my Skin' and the two instrumental interludes 'Flectar' and 'Non Frangar'. The album ends with the flagship title 'Mater Musica' of 10 minutes, which is a good summary of this patchwork of styles and offers us a wonderful chorus that stay a long time in our memory. In summary, 'Dayslived' released an excellent album with many faces that must be tamed little by little and finally shows great wealth, which should appeal to all fans of a varied progressive and offering different facets... | |
