'Heylel' is a Portuguese band that already have about fifteen years of existence but it's only their 2nd studio album that they release in 2017. Not easy to find a style because they mix quite distant styles like hard-rock, atmospheric and symphonic. Take the eponymous title of the album, everything begins with guitar riffs then the tempo calms down to make way for a sung part and this alternation continues throughout the title that reminds groups like 'Porcupine Tree'. 'Fallen Angel' is a ballad that begins in a style of American musical comedy to which electric guitars are invited and always this alternation to the intense final mixing the voice of ‘Ana Batista' to guitar riffs. 'You Should Have Known By You' is a melancholic acoustic ballad with violin and acoustic guitar. There, follows 'Ghosts' much more symphonic and a catchy melody and guitar solo close to 'Pink-Floyd'. In short, 'Heylel' release a varied album in styles but which will certainly be reserved for a public loving the musical wide gaps...
