He delighted us with the concert 'The Neverending Show: Live in the Netherlands' at the end of 2021 and a few months later, 'Alan Parsons' is releasing a new concert this time accompanied by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Admittedly, the set list is quite similar compared to that of the first concert but, with the orchestra, 'Alan Parsons' was able to add compositions requiring the contribution of classical instruments like 'Silence and I' with a finale that still gives goosebumps every time I listen to it and, of course, 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' from his latest album 'The Secret' which is an adaptation of 'Paul Dukas' play from 1897 and is known to have been incorporated into the film of 'Disney', 'Fantasia', in 1940. And as always, the recording is of exceptional quality and takes us once again to the mythical albums of the 70s/80s of Alan Parsons Project'. As with 'The Neverending Show', in addition to the 2 CDs, the concert was filmed, and DVD/Blu-ray versions are also available. To get an idea of this very beautiful concert, videos are present on youtube with 'Standing On Higher Ground' (see video above), 'Don't Answer Me ' and 'As Night Fall''. In short, for all fans and for all fans of Alan Parsons Project' who bathed in the 70s and 80s with all the legendary albums, this live Tel Aviv is added to the list of concerts to have absolutely in their ideal collection... |
