We go to Greece with 'Floating Worlds', which releases their third album with another sea-related theme, and 'Battleship Oceania' tells the story of the 'Oceania' battleship and crew who turned into a ghost ship after a mission which proved fatal. Between symphonic, progressive and power metal, they make us live the different adventures of Oceania 'where they adapt the style to the episode but overall the whole is epic, powerful and melodic with keyboards often at the same level as the guitars. The instrumental 'Oceania' sets the scene with sound effects in a maritime atmosphere giving way to energetic guitar riffs where keyboards and sampled choirs are superimposed. With 'Sailing in History', the ambiance softens with a first part singing / piano which gradually takes more power until exploding in the 2nd part with impressive male choruses. With 'New Mission', we are taken in a heavy heady title where we can’t help but stomp, then, 'The Empire of the Media', after a rather offbeat introduction recalling the disco rhythm of the 80s , starts in power with a heady melody that will be repeated throughout the title. 'The Curse' then embarks us into a sinister atmosphere with tempo breaks and 'Retribution' is a classic heavy and epic title. The second part of the album, we offer 'The Last Goodbye', very theatrical with sumptuous choruses, the melancholy 'Divine Love' with two beautiful female singings, one lyrical and the other classical, then 'Eternal Sleep' of 11 minutes, much more progressive in the approach with changes of intensity and tempos, slowly rolls a melody that remains in your head and the album ends beautifully with the instrumental and melancholy 'Island and Dreams' in a serene atmosphere far from guitar riffs. In short, the Greeks of 'Floating Worlds' have released a very good concept album, where they really put the music at the service of history, which is destined for all those who like to vary the styles because 'Battleship Oceania' mixes symphonic, heavy and progressive metal...
