In the same style as 'Rosetta', the Greek 'Evángelos Odysséas Papathanassíou' releases a new album, this time inspired by NASA's 'Juno' mission, which sent a space probe into space with the objective of studying the planet Jupiter. We find again the ambient music we knew on the previous albums, which is totally in phase with this long journey into space, in the form of 18 tracks for more than an hour of listening, which takes us on a journey through our solar system accompanied by 'Vangelis', who creates atmospheric soundscapes by aggregating different orchestral instruments and electronic sounds, and who admirably illustrates the long journey of this space probe setting out to discover the unknown. For the occasion, he invited the soprano 'Angela Gheorghiu' who sings in three compositions 'Juno's Tender Call', 'Hera / Juno Queen of the Gods' and 'Juno's Accomplishments' and whose vocals accompany the celestial ambiences in a beautiful way. To make a long story short, I won't go into title by title, as others have done it very well such as this very comprehensive review from the 'Notes from a Nebula' site here and for those of you who love wide open spaces, you can also view videos from NASA that offer fantastic views of the 'Juno' probe, the whole thing set to music by 'Vangelis', with, for example, the one on you tube from 'Juno Flies Past the Moon Ganymede and Jupiter', with NASA's website providing more by following this link. So, if you're ready for the great 'Juno' journey, all that's left is to find a quiet place, headphones on, and board the ship of Captain 'Vangelis' who will take you on a beautiful, relaxing and poetry-filled journey that will, I'm sure, make you forget for a moment all the worries of everyday life...
