For the last three days of 2022, I will dedicate them to three lives, lives which we really missed in 2020 and 2021 and which resumed during this year, some having been postponed or canceled at the start of the year. The first concert is that of the Americans of 'Journey' who released a very good 'Freedom' in July 2022 and who recorded the 'Live in Concert at Lollapalooza' concert on July 31, 2021, in Chicago. We navigate through the band's flagship period from the late 70s to the mid-80s, starting with 'Infinity' from 1978 of which three titles are interpreted, then we browse the following releases with 'Evolution' from 1979, then 'Departure' from 1980 with 'Any Way You Want It', then the band's iconic album 'Escape' from 1981 is very well represented with six tracks, followed by the four compositions taken from 'Frontiers' of 1983 and 'Raised On Radio' of 1986 brings up the rear with a single track, 'Be Good To Yourself’. And to give you an idea of what awaits you with the Blu-Ray or DVD edition, three titles are available on the 'Frontiers Music' site with 'Only The Young', 'Any Way You Want It' and 'Be Good To Yourself'. In short, this very beautiful concert of 'Journey' allows us to go back 40 years back by remembering all these titles which have become timeless for all the fans of the group, but also which should also reach a fairly large audience who went through the 80s listening to the leading melodic rock bands of the time... | |
