At the dawn of 2020, 2019 was full of live, so here is the list of myprogmusic chronicles of live in styles very different from each other, ranging from folk to metal through to progressive rock. To this first list, for a fortnight, will be added other live released in 2019 but which had not yet been the subject of chronicle.I discovered the Tunisians of 'Myrath' quite late with their fourth album 'Lagacy' (see here) in 2016 and since, after having seen them in concert at the z7 in first part of 'Epica' at the end of 2017, I was impressed by this energy on stage that they transmit to the public with this festive metal in which they mix their origins and the tradition of large Western groups of this style. Therefore, what could be better than discovering them in a concert and it's done with ‘Live in Carthage’, what's more, in their country. And it all starts in an electric atmosphere with ‘Born to Survive’ which ignites the public who are necessarily completely behind their cause and who know the words by heart. Titles as catchy as each other parade like 'Dance' from the latest album 'Shehili' (see here), 'Get Your Freedom Back' and its addictive chorus, 'Nobody's Lives' or 'Duat' and their melodic lines which marry so beautifully the east and west (the magic of music !!) or even 'Believer' and its party atmosphere which precedes 'No Holding Back' taken up by all the audience to finish with a memorable 'Beyond the Stars' and its chorus that never leaves you. In short, no need to add more and as I often say, it only remains to press the play button and let yourself be driven by all this communicative jubilation... | |
