'Nuclear Beast' label is not really known for producing rock artists, but here, they found a Norwegian band that is already on its 4th album with 'Ninja'. Led by singer 'Heidi Solhein', they offer varied compositions with a mixture of rock, blues, pop and hard rock with influences of the sixties. From the first 4 tracks, you start with 'You Are The One', a very swing rock, then 'Sophia', a little more catch-out lively, followed by the blues 'The Perfect Crime' and 'The Rebel Song' which brings us back a few decades back with ‘Led Zeppelin' band. Apart from exceptional musicians, the great plus of this group is undoubtedly the voice of Heidi who can leave no one indifferent whether it is on titles where power is required or on others quieter where she knows how to transmit all the necessary emotion. To convince you, listen to 'Ocean', the most stripped-down title of the album where she puts her voice on a keyboard layer. In short, 'Ninja' is a superb album which should please a whole audience with its references in the 60s and 70s with on top of that an interpreter who lives his music profoundly...
