Circles of Friends' is the project of 'Bruce Mee' (director of the rock magazine 'Fireworks') who released a first album in 2022 'The Garden' to pay tribute to his mother who died of cancer. Obviously, being well established in the music world, he has built up an impressive address book of international artists and, as for the first album, he has once again called upon numerous instrumentalists and singers that I do not know. I won't go into too much detail, the list is long (see below) and this second album is made up of 7 original compositions and 5 covers including the very well-known 'Princess Of The Night' from 'Saxon' and 'Can't Let You Go' of 'Rainbow' for those who experienced the 80s. As for original titles, we find different styles from the eighties with for example 'Starligh' sung by 'Olivia Dei Cicchi', the daughter of 'Robin Beck', which begins the album in very energetic hard rock or the AOR ballad 'Lying Here Beside You' with a catchy melody that we have the impression that it has always been part of our lives. In short, even if this album is not going to revolutionize rock, 'Bruce Mee', well accompanied by talented artists, offers us a remarkable anthology that is very pleasant to listen to and remarkably diverse from the 80s/90s ranging from rock to metal through AOR and metal...
