We are still in the Nordic countries with the Swedes of 'Carptree' who are close to bands like 'Marillion', 'Arena' or 'Genesis' with the characteristic voice of 'Niclas Flinck'. Already 7 long years since 'Nymf' released in 2010 and it is only in this early 2017 that their new album 'Emerger' sees the day. With this last record they take us into a universe similar to previous recordings : complex, melodic and powerful progressive rock that oscillates between quiet passages and other more symphonic ones where keyboards are omnipresent and where tempo changes bring a variety in compositions. 8 tracks for almost 55 minutes, 'Emerger' is tamed listening after listening and we discover little by little all the wealth and quality of arrangements and production. In summary, 'Carptree' is back on the progressive stage in early 2017 with an accessible album that beyond fans can be a gateway to all those who would like to discover progressive rock…
