After 'Galasphere 347', 'Manticore' is a Swedish progressive rock band that released the album 'Time to Fly' in the '90s. So it's 25 years later that 'Next Steps: Flight 19' comes out, which includes 6 tracks including only 3 original tracks and 3 covers (the last 3): 'Beginnings' opens the ball in an instrumental way in a symphonic atmosphere where follow the sounds of the progressive 70s that can recall some titles of the Dutchs of 'Focus'. Follows 'The Answer' which also brings us back to the same time and could be a mix of 'Yes' and 'Kansas', then, 'Flight 19' slowly rolls out its beautiful melody and brings us back to artists like 'Genesis' or 'BJH'. For the 3 covers, this is 'Release', 'Release' from 'Yes' from 1978, 'Cold Is The Night' from 'John Wetton' from 1980 and 'I Believe in Father Chistmas' from 'ELP'. In summary, even if 'Next Steps: Flight 19' is a bit short and has only 3 original tracks, the Swedes of 'Manticore' plunge us back a few decades back in a very beautifully way and we can hope they won't wait 25 new years for the next album...
