The Americans of 'Station' continue the releases quite regularly because after, 'More Than The Moon' in 2018 and 'Stained Glass' that I had put in my playlist of melodic rock albums of 2019, here is their new baby 'Perspective' released at the beginning of October 2021. We find what we knew on the last two albums, a flamboyant AOR divided between energetic and catchy tracks and others more measured : In the first category, we find compositions like 'I Can't Find My Way' which opens the album in a beautiful way (see video above), 'See the Light' or 'Believe' (see video here) and in the second category, they also offer us some very beautiful mid-tempo songs, They also offer us some very nice mid-tempo songs such as 'Do You Really Want to Fall in Love Again' which would certainly have been a hit in the 80's or 'You Found Yesterday' in the style of 'Foreigner' or 'Tonight', between ballad and mid-tempo, or 'Don't Keep Me Waiting' which ends the album with a memorable last melody. And when the tempo is even more moderate, we are won over by melancholic ballads like 'If You Want Love', classic but so effective, or 'Spanish Steps' and its touching atmosphere or the magnificent acoustic 'All Over Again'. In short, the Americans of 'Station' release an album very well balanced between energy and softness with beautiful melodies that we immediately adopt, which should please an audience in love with an AOR that takes us back to the 80s... | |
